Abstract

The educational sector was strongly impacted by covid-19 pandemic. Beyond public policy’s throwback of the current government that devalues the education and its professionals in a pandemic context, the social differences become even more evident. The child Education that has been seeking self-assert for decades as a modality with its own specificities has its curriculum brutally threatened for the remote work proposal that put in check the interactions and plays which are at the heart of pedagogical practice. The article proposes to report the experience lived in a municipal center for early childhood education while reflecting about tensions that permeate teaching practice. Supported by authors such as Batthyány (2020), Campos (2020), Corsaro (2011), Maudonnet (2019), Morin (2000) and others, the debate evokes the political act (FREIRE, 1993) to listen to the children’s voices even in a pandemic context and in a contradictory direction, fight for the respect to childhood and its completeness.
