Abstract

The objective of this article is to present the impacts on education arising from remote learning, authorized in Brazil as a result of the installation of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to identify, in the converging points, namely, family participation, social interaction, access the necessary pedagogical tools and food, if homeschooling, called homeschooling in English, is favorable to the Brazilian educational context. The methodology was descriptive with a qualitative approach. Through the study, it is intended to contribute with reflections on the structuring and creation of effective educational public policies, which consider the Brazilian social and economic scenario, which guarantee a broad, democratic and quality education. As a result, it is shown that both teaching models represent an elitist education project, negatively impacting the emotional/mental health of students.
