Observações sobre os processos legislativo e doutrinário de abolição da escravidão no Império do Brasil

Abstract

RESUMO O artigo pretende compreender, através de uma visão histórico-jurídica, o processo de abolição da escravidão durante o período imperial no Brasil. As fontes jurídicas são privilegiadas apresentando-se o processo histórico sob a lente do Direito e das referências culturais vinculadas à visão de mundo imperial. Os textos doutrinários favorecem as perspectivas jusfilosóficas e a compreensão do processo pelo trinômio tendências- deias-fatos. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Leis. Escravidão. Abolição. Parecer. História do Direito. ABSTRACT The article aims at understanding the processo f abolishing slavery during the Imperial period in Brazil through legal and historical perspectives. The judicial sources are privileged as the historical process is presented under the eyes of both the Law and the cultural references associated with the imperial world.
