In this work, we draw the biobibliographic profile of the poet and memoirist from Pernambuco Ulysses Lins de Albuquerque, member of the Archaeological, Historical and Geographical Institute of Pernambuco (IAHGP) and of the Academia Pernambucana de Letras (APL). He appears first as a poet (at the beginning of the 20th century) and in a second phase as a memoirist (in the second half of the 20th century). Based on his work (poetic and memoirist), we work with the concepts of space, place and landscape as inherent to nature, which is why they are closely linked, indicating intersections of experiences, as it is in the exercise of memory, a place of crossings (RICOEUR, 2010) and paradas (TUAN, 1983), that we can read another perspective of the sertão in the narratives of Ulysses, an intellectual between memory and poetics, on the limit between history and memory (literature).
Keywords: Hinterland. Landscape. Place. Memory. Narrative.
