Abstract

This project deals with representations being mobilized when parents forget children in child restraint devices, analyzing the situation through the theory of representative contexts with an approach in the cases of Brazil. On these occasions, we can observe the “father” context being thematized, both by those directly involved in the occasion and by third parties. Data were collected from sites that reported incidents of this type and on which there were comments from Internet users, and an analysis focused on the content. The results showed that the representations circulate around the protection attractor, with an extensive fauna of representations coexisting.
